RABOT Energy is looking for a Working Student WordPress Engineer to support our web development efforts. In this role, you will help maintain and enhance our WordPress-based website, troubleshoot issues, and implement new features. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in web development while working in a dynamic and fast-growing company. Your Impact

• Assist in managing and improving our WordPress site, including theme and plugin development.
• Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to optimize website functionality and design.
• Utilize WordPress builders like Elementor, Gutenberg, and WPBakery to create engaging web pages.
• Identify and resolve issues related to WordPress themes, plugins, and site performance.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with the team on development projects.
• Stay updated with WordPress best practices and industry trends.

What can you bring

• WordPress Knowledge: Basic understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Builder Experience: Familiarity with WordPress builders like Elementor, Gutenberg, or WPBakery.
• Debugging Ability: Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues related to themes and plugins.
• Version Control: Basic understanding of Git and version control workflows.
• Educational Background: Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Computer Science, Web Development, etc.).
• Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
• Communication & Teamwork: Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Location: Be based in or be willing to relocate to Hamburg or Berlin

Nice to Have

• API Knowledge: Experience with REST API integration.
• Advanced WordPress Skills: Familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
• SEO Basics: Understanding of on-page optimization and SEO best practices.
• Performance Optimization: Awareness of WordPress performance and security best practices.
