Scale/Dispatcher Operator

GFL Environmental is looking for a Dispatcher/Scale Operator to join our team in Victoria, BC!

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher/Scale Operator to join our team on a casual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch of our recycling fleet, operating the scale, and ensuring accurate record-keeping of incoming and outgoing materials. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

This is a part-time position for Saturday working only.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and dispatch recycling trucks and drivers to various locations.
• Operate the scale to weigh incoming and outgoing materials.
• Maintain accurate records of materials received and dispatched.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and drivers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a dispatch or scale operator role is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Experience with customer service preferred
• Resolving customer issues that may arise during transactions
