What we do

  • We’re helping the world become more resilient to the impacts of physical climate risks (including floods, fires, storms and more). In doing so, we help drive positive global impact aligned to many of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).
  • Our team builds cutting-edge, peer-reviewed science (incorporating climate projections, remote sensing data) and translates that into financial impacts (to the value of assets or business disruption linked to failure of critical infrastructure) that our customers in the financial services industry use to identify, manage and mitigate those risks.
  • Climate X’s customers include the world’s largest banks, asset managers and insurance companies including CBRE, Standard Chartered, Virgin Money and Federated Hermes, as well as a partnership ecosystem that includes Deloitte, Capgemini and AWS. Combined, they manage over $6.5 trillion of assets.

The impact you’ll own

As Customer Support Specialist, you will shape the client experience at our high-growth startup, tackling the world’s most urgent challenge. You will get hands-on exposure to cutting-edge climate risk data, financial modelling, and SaaS innovation. 

 

You will be the first point of contact for financial services clients, providing timely and insightful support on our climate risk platform. You will help clients interpret complex scientific and financial data, making it actionable and valuable for their unique applications and use cases. 

You will troubleshoot technical issues, collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to ensure seamless resolution. You will own and refine support processes, contributing to a best-in-class customer experience. You will educate and empower clients through product training sessions, guides, and knowledge-sharing. Additionally you will capture client feedback to help shape future product enhancements. 

 

Essential Skills

  • Passion for climate and finance: You understand (or are eager to learn) how climate change impacts financial markets and asset risk.
  • Analytically minded: You enjoy solving problems, interpreting data, and breaking down complex topics for others.
  • Strong communicator: You can engage with senior professionals, explain technical concepts clearly, and keep cool under pressure.
  • Tech-savvy: A background in STEM (e.g. degree in Computer Science/Data Analytics/Machine Learning) and comfortable navigating SaaS platforms, troubleshooting basic issues, and picking up new tools quickly.
  • Collaborative & proactive: You thrive in fast-paced environments, work well across teams, and take ownership of your work.

 

Desirable Skills

  • An understanding of Climate X products and how we solve our clients’ unique problems.
  • An understanding of financial services and their complex organisational structures.
  • Language skills are beneficial.
