This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical design, feasibility testing, electromechanical equipment integration and process validation (DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Laser Welding, Equipment Design, Product DFM and Metrology of output Quality. This role demands the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with striving for excellence.</p><p>The Role:</p><p>· Lead new Product Development efforts with regards to ideation, feasibility studies and prototyping.</p><p>· Ideation &amp; creation of Workholding strategies and solutions to retool universal capex for Process &amp; Metrology requirements.</p><p>· Collaborate cross-functionally to brainstorm and co-develop new Product performance requirements and specifications</p><p>· Perform materials characterization, analysis, and selection; work with modeling engineers to create technical roadmaps and plans</p><p>· Communicate with process engineers for product specific process &amp; equipment requirements leading to Operations team handoff and training.</p><p>· Contribute to the development of test methods and plans to evaluate Powertrain product performance</p><p>· Design and conduct experiments with Vendors, OEMs and Integrators to optimize Product, Process &amp; Equipment performance</p><p>· Host discussions with suppliers regarding novel design and manufacturing solutions.</p><p>· Work and Train Technicians on Equipment &amp; Process Operations for Prototyping, Feasibility Testing and Process Validation of Product/Process/Equipment.</p><p> </p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>· Strong experience in Product Design &amp; Process development engineering</p><p>· Catia 2D and 3D SW Experience required</p><p>· Strong documentation and communication skills are a must</p><p>· In-depth understanding of advanced manufacturing processes (e.g.- Laser Welding, Laser Marking, Laser Cutting, Wirebonding, Smartwelding, etc).</p><p>· Knowledge of Process DOE and Validation Methods (e.g. –DQ, IQ/OQ/PQ, Window Testing, Cpk – Process Capability &amp; Characterization studies).</p><p>· Periodic Travel to Lucid Advanced Manufacturing Plant (AMP) locations for Process/Equipment onboarding, Training and Test.</p><p> </p><p>Preferred:</p><p>· &gt; 5yr experience in Product Design &amp; Manufacturing role</p><p>· Experience with product refinement through metrology and test</p><p>· Experience with SPC monitoring of established Processes and Equipment.</p><p>· Product specific workholding solution derivation for Manufacturing Equipment and Lab Testing.</p><p> </p><p>Education:</p><p>· PhD, or masters with 3 years of relevant work experience, or bachelors with 5 years of relevant work experience</p><p> </p><div><div><div><div><strong>Salary Range</strong>: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
