GEA is one of the largest suppliers for the food and beverage processing industry and a wide range of other process industries. We are looking for a Sales Engineer/ Senior Sales Engineer ideally from the enviromental and/or beverage process Industry, with a sales background who is looking to develop and grow their career in our Malaysia organization.

Ideally, you should have in knowledge of the enviromental and/or beverage process Industry and a track record of successfully promoting and selling related range of products or services to our GEA customers and develop new relationships within Malaysia.

You also have a good reputation in the industry stated and are well connected especially with plant owners, managers, operators, contractors & consultants within Malaysia. The role will require you to carry out hands-on and practical product presentation onsite, customers offices and HQ’s.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Develop new clients who could benefit from our products and maintaining existing, relationships with customers within the Separation Technology related products.
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements to sales and business development
  • Lead customer engagement discussions by persuading client on products or services best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery
  • You should be able to give a general overview of the GEA Group complete product portfolio and therefore should understand build an in-depth understanding of the list of products and equipment to interpret customer requirements in a wide range of industries.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstration to key customers regularly, converting leads to sales and benefits to customer and GEA
  • Build a strong relationship with new and existing customers to ensure that the yearly sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Participate in trade-shows and events within Malaysia
  • Work-closely with the support team to ensure that all sales documentation is prepared and sent out on time. Purchase orders and invoices are completed as per the agreed dateline.
  • Proactively develop, track, and aggressively grow specifications across market segments, continually building the pipeline of new projects
  • Consistently reinforce the value proposition of our offering and its advantages in the market
  • You will be required to travel extensively.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering with proven experience in technical sales.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Highly motivated in Sales.
  • Understanding customer needs and presenting technical solutions.
  • Good Team Player.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Malaysia.
