LondonEnergy operates the second largest waste contract in the UK, handling and processing nearly 750,000 tonnes of London鈥檚 waste every year. We have a dedicated team of people working across North London, making a positive difference to the environment and the local community.

By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough waste from energy to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres.

As a Site Operative at LondonEnergy, you will have a strong customer service background and will act as the first point of contact to the public, providing a professional service by giving advice, direction, and assistance, ensuring that waste is received and deposited correctly. 

Key Responsibilities

Operations

  • Delivering a consistent high level of customer service, working to the company standards and contract requirements.
  • Assisting members of public, where safe and appropriate to do so, and overseeing the sorting and safe disposal of customers waste and recycling materials.
  • Advising on the correct segregation of waste and recycling into relevant containers / storage areas.
  • Monitoring and directing traffic movements within the facility.
  • Carry out general site duties including housekeeping of site grounds, buildings and staff facilities.
  • Operate the site in line with current company policies and procedures

 

General

  • To carry out other appropriate duties at a similar level at the designated site/sites or other company sites as required

Requirements

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach may be required to learn other roles within the site to ensure effective operating procedures.
  • Must be willing to learn operations and undergo appropriate training.
  • Be able to work shift in a pattern (including some weekends)
  • Previous customer experience would be desirable.
  • Experience working in a public facing role
  • Working in a similar role is desirable
  • Health and Safety awareness training
  • Customer Service Training
