The company is backed by a diverse set of committed investors and we have raised over $360M to date.Role DescriptionAs an Analyst on Form’s Strategy and Market Development Analytics team within the broader Analytics team, you will conduct research and analysis activities that will support the development of markets for multi-day energy storage globally. This could include research and analysis across the following areas: - Strategy analytics: Developing and delivering data-driven corporate and product strategy decisions as well as policy and regulatory positions. This includes but is not limited to tools, analysis, and collateral to support market and customer prioritization and product tradeoffs. - Thought leadership: Developing and running optimization models and other data-driven models to develop content for externally facing thought leadership collateral. Visualizing results with compelling graphics and/ or dashboards. Writing up results in simple, easy to understand language that is tailored to the appropriate audience, in partnership with our policy and regulatory affairs teams as well as our communications team. - Market development partnerships: Develop research and collateral with external partners to build widespread understanding of our product’s value. This includes but is not limited to working with tool developers (developers of utility planning models), energy consulting firms and advocacy groups, and thought leaders (national labs, academics, etc.) to improve how utilities and regulators use power system planning models and other tools to value multi-day storage assets.To deliver the above objectives will require relying heavily, but not exclusively, on Formware TM , Form’s state of the art capacity expansion, unit commitment, and economic dispatch model. Interacting with these tools via the Python programming language will be critical.Success in this role requires a unique ability to understand and dive into models while maintaining a high level perspective on industry trends and company needs. This role is inherently cross functional, collaborating closely with Form’s policy and regulatory affairs, commercial operations, product management, and communications teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Support market prioritization, position development, and product tradeoffs with analytics
  • Develop analysis, create visualizations, and deliver write ups of content for externally facing collateral (white papers, presentations, dashboards, etc.)
  • Content focus areas will center around modeling and understanding the value of Form’s multi-day storage product
  • Support partnerships and relationships with external individuals and groups
  • Work with these groups to develop and disseminate content and ideas that build widespread understanding of our product’s value
  • Work with tool developers (developers of utility planning models), energy consulting firms and advocacy groups, and thought leaders (national labs, academics, etc.) to improve how utilities and regulators use power system planning models and other tools to value multi-day storage assets
  • Act as a collaborative member of a distributed Business Development and Analytics team

What You'll Bring:

  • A passion for tackling climate change
  • A desire to grapple with the challenges and opportunities of scaling a nascent technology
  • Analytical or quantitative background with an excitement for going deep on the power sector
  • Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline is not required, but is valuable
  • Superb written communication and data visualization skills
  • Experience working on projects that rely on complex, data-intensive models Experience with commercial facing account and project management
  • A generous, team-oriented mentality and work style
  • Python language skills, including data manipulation (Numpy, Pandas) and visualization (Plotly, Altair, etc.)
  • Geospatial analysis and plotting not required but a distinct positive
