Job Description:

The key skills and experience we are seeking are as follow:

  • Document and assess the external cost planning and forecast (for materials, services, packages, and subcontractors) during the project execution phase.
  • Updating the Master Production Schedule for the relevant project for proprietary items.
  • Issuing of the Purchase Requests for all materials, external services, packages, and subcontractor aligned with Project schedule requirement and budgets.
  • Expediting with the vendor to guarantee the timely delivery of materials by maintaining consistent communication, monitoring progress, and addressing any potential delays proactively. By ensuring that all logistical aspects are meticulously managed.
  • Ensure the monitoring and reporting on supplier performances (including logistic provider) in terms of production, FAT, lead time, shipment, project warehouse management and compliance with contractual requirements- upstream.
  • Update SAP to ensure visibility and accuracy of delivery dates and hence forecasts are always up to date.
  • Process faulty products with suppliers ensuring compliance to export control procedures are followed for intracompany suppliers and follow both SAP and Maximo workflow end to end.
  • Identification and implementation of project mitigation actions due to the risk of potential misalignments of the supplier performances in comparison with the contractual requirements (delays in material FAT and/or delivery)
  • Review, process, and monitor subcontractor claims based on project milestones and labour hire. Create Service Entry Sheets (SES) and issue signed Work Progress Certificates (WPC).
  • Ensure legislative compliance by prioritising timely processing of invoices for small businesses.
  • Keep up to date, monthly forecast tables and project dashboards to allow tracking of key performance metrics and key indicators. Highlighting and identify potential risks.
  • Closing of PO (Purchase Orders), ensure that POs are closed promptly upon the completion of material delivery and services.
  • Short-close PO Notification, inform vendors about any short-closed POs regularly to ensure they are aware of the changes and can adjust their records and expectations accordingly.
  • Collaborate directly with the contracts manager, project managers, functional leads, procurement buyers, and engineers to ensure all project milestones are supported and achieved.
  • Support the estimation of external costs on assigned bids, by working with a cross-functional team of project engineers, bidding manager, work pack leaders, procurement buyers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Finance or other related engineering fields.
  • 3+ years' experience in Supply Chain Management roles within an engineering and preferably project environment
  • Advance Excel and professional in Microsoft Office package and SAP (MM Module knowledge) and professional Supply Chain dashboards.
  • Rail sector knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of requirements of planning, inventory management techniques and general contract knowledge to manage downstream sub-contractors
  • Ability to be self-directed to work toward corporate and business unit objectives
  • Experience in Cost analysis methodologies and process for cost controlling /budgeting
