Endera is seeking an experienced supply chain and procurement associate to join our purchasing team at Endera, a leading company in electric mobility solutions.

 

Overview: Performs supply chain of bus, truck, and EV components, helps vet potential vendors, maintains inventory stocking levels, oversees logistics between Endera facilities (shipping, receiving, and picking activities) and uses common sense knowledge to make sure parts are delivered on time.

 

General Responsibilities:

 

  • Work closely with Endera technicians and engineers to identify candidate components to use on prototype vehicles, such as batteries, motors, controllers, sensors, fabricated components, and other bus specific items.
  • Vet potential vendors of these components based on quality, reliability, cost, availability, and sustainability criteria and support procurement contract negotiations
  • Manage inventory and logistics of components and materials
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance and compliance
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of supply chain and procurement activities with project goals and timelines
  • Stay updated on market trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the gas and electric mobility sector
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all parts and components in our ERP system (Infor)
  • Work closely with the production team and scheduling department to order and receive components required to meet internal goals – these include multiple different vehicle types and projects.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies
  • Ordering, receiving, and storing new parts and components in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Work with warehouse team to ensure organized, clean, and safe environment.
  • Maintain quality standards and safety standards per company policy
  • Perform daily scheduled shipping, receiving and material picking activities
  • Set work priorities to meet R&D and Production operational goals
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day-to-day basis including technicians, managers, and remote employees.
  • Notify supervisor of any quality issues, maintenance, and machine failure issues, and assist as needed
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications
  • A associates or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, business administration, or a related field desired
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, warehouse or procurement roles, preferably in the automotive or electric mobility industry desired
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of electric or gas vehicle components and technologies - preferred
  • A passion for innovation and sustainability
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain within first 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to learn to use ERP systems to manage inventory, purchase requisitions, and shipments
  • Must be able to verify material and assembly components for quality receiving process and inspection
  • Perform quality inspections on parts and incoming items.
  • Experience with reading blueprints or technical documentation.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
