This means that managing weather-based risk–and weather-based variability–is the number #1 challenge facing the energy grid.Sunairio’s mission is to provide the highest-fidelity intelligence into energy and grid risks by translating the highest-resolution datasets of weather and climate variability into commercially-useful applications. We curate and generate scientifically-validated, model-consistent, localized historical climate data and future climate simulations which can be instantly integrated into existing grid modeling workflows and widely used energy modeling tools. Sunairio also provides a suite of energy and energy market simulations (at both asset and grid-level) that covers the existing renewables fleet and major RTO/ISO regions. We work with renewable energy project owners, storage operators, energy buyers, energy suppliers, portfolio managers, traders, and utilities to deliver actionable insights into the hardest energy problems.Please include a cover letter with your application. Applications without cover letters will not be considered.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe VP of Data Science–Power Markets, will be responsible for all aspects of quantitative model development and energy market analysis.
