The Service Delivery Project Management team offers a challenging role with impact and great colleagues.

Responsibilities / Tasks

As IT Project Manager work in a structured manner, drive projects toward agreed milestones, and tackle challenges with a positive attitude, whether theoretical or hands-on. Experience with Agile methodology is a plus, and you support others in understanding and applying it.

  • Effective execution, coordination, and organization of multiple IT projects

  • Develop, refine, and manage project plans to ensure on time and on budget delivery

  • Arrange and manage the right resources required for the project within GEA IT organization and, depending on the project, also resources from external IT service providers

  • Proper reporting of project status to the project boards, service delivery management, to the service owner(s) and to other stakeholders

  • Identify and manage risks to ensure successful delivery

  • Keep track on pending issues and escalate where necessary

  • Change management activities that are related to the project deliverables

  • Excellent, timely and effective communication about the project to all stakeholders.

Your Profile / Qualifications

We expect you to have proven experiences (at least 10 years) in IT project management

The following educational background, knowledge, skills, and competencies are relevant for this role:

  • Masters’s degree or relevant experience

  • Experience with large SAP projects

  • Experience with project management frameworks, particularly Prince 2 (certification preferred)

  • Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban (certification preferred)

  • Ability to understand business processes, interdependencies and complexity

  • Result driven – focused on targets and project plans

  • Strong stakeholder management

  • Experience as program manager / multi project manager desirable

  • Proven ability to manage an international team of experts

  • As this role is in an international environment, English language skills are a must. Both verbally as in writing. German language skills would be very welcome. When you master any other languages that is considered a plus.

  • In addition, being a strong communicator, you will preferably regard yourself as a passionate person who is always willing to cooperate not thinking about problems but about their solutions.

  • The main project location being Duesseldorf, presence in Duesseldorf office is expected on a frequent basis.
