Are you a customer focused innovator and problem solver? Do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment? California Energy Commission (CEC) is hiring a Division Liaison for the Administrative and Financial Management Services Division.

Our Division Liaison will perform a variety of technical and analytical staff work and consultative services for management and staff within the Administrative Services Division. This is an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) state classification and will serve as an administrative liaison, which is an intermediary for administrative staff on financial, human resources, business services, training, and information technology matters.

CEC is leading the state to a 100 percent clean energy future for all. As the state's primary energy policy and planning agency, the Energy Commission is committed to reducing energy costs and environmental impacts of energy use while ensuring a safe, resilient, and reliable supply of energy.


** Telework option available, but hired candidate must reside somewhere in California before starting.

Desirable Qualifications:

•       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

•       Strong interpersonal skills and ability serve as a liaison between stakeholders.

•       Ability to gather, analyze and synthesize complex information.

•       Independently researching information and drafting comprehensive responses.

•       Developing and disseminating various communication materials and reports.

•       Familiarity with project management tools and maintaining tracking systems.

•       Experience with state procurement and travel systems.

•       Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

•       Microsoft 365 tools - Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, and Planner.

•       Interest in energy and climate change issues a plus.

•       Commitment to customer service.
