🎯 About us

At Havenwise, we’re on a mission to make energy cheaper and easier for people. To do so, we’re building the tech stack for electrified homes. We’re starting with heat pumps, the single biggest consumer of energy for households.

Our first product is a commissioning, control, and monitoring solution for heat pumps, without the need for extra hardware. Our machine learning algorithms ensure that homeowners save 50% on their energy bill, and installers save 10 hours per job. We provide a phone app to homeowners to control their heat pump, and a web portal to installers for remote monitoring.

We just soft-launched and our product is live with customers. We’re seeing phenomenal interest, including internationally, and are growing the number of users every day.

Controlling heat pumps is just the beginning and our ambitious product plans testify to that! We have raised funding from fantastic investors, who will support us along the way.

🔍 Your role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join our team! The electrified home is a data-rich ecosystem, and our customers need help to make sense of it.

Your responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for infrastructure and software systems that keep our customers warm.

• Collaborate with our cross-functional tech team to scale our platform more than 10x this year.

• Build and maintain integrations with a variety of APIs that allow us to directly reduce our customers’ energy bills.

• Curate our rich datasets for machine learning, analysis and external API integrations, unlocking new features for homeowners and industry partners.

What we’re looking for

• Confident Python and GCP engineer with a mind for data quality and scalable systems.

• Curious and communicative, with a strong bias to action.

• The ability to work in a fast-paced startup. Speed is crucial, ambiguity is high.

• Experience in energy or climate tech is a plus.
