The co-op will support the analytical team in executing, improving upon, and maintaining procedures that enable reliable characterization measurements. The co-op will also contribute to commissioning, maintenance, and calibration of Sublime’s analytical instruments. This role is expected to be hands-on, with a significant amount of time spent in lab collecting data. Successful candidates will be results-driven, ambitious, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. </span></div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities for this role will include: </h3><ul><li>Executing standard test methods to prepare samples for measurement, analyze materials, and record the results, ensuring rapid turnaround and high-quality data. </li><li>Commissioning, calibrating, and maintaining Sublime’s analytical instruments including ICP-OES, XRF, XRD, TGA, BET, auto-titrators, and laser diffractometers under the guidance of the Analytical Manager.   </li><li>Contributing to the organization and upkeep of our shared lab space. </li><li>Identifying process improvements to make our team’s work more accurate and efficient. </li><li>Working with a team of other scientists, engineers, and technicians to accomplish shared goals. </li><li>Championing safety, especially in the development of experimental processes. </li><li>Fostering a supportive, inclusive, innovative, and dynamic company culture. </li></ul><h3>Knowledge and Skill Requirements:</h3><ul><li>Pursuing a degree in chemistry, geology, forensic science, engineering, or other physical science </li><li>Experience with pipettes and balances </li><li>Wet lab experience, interest in industrial QA/QC settings and analytical chemistry.
