Let us describe the challenge we offerAs a Manager, Pre-Owned Polestar you will be responsible for developing and managing Polestar’s Pre-Owned vehicle program and remarketing in the U.S. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimize the daily management of our wholesale and pre-owned vehicle operations. This role is critical in driving operational efficiency and achieving performance goals for our Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) and remarketing programs while ensuring exceptional dealer and vendor collaboration. What you’ll do<ul> <li>Manage the remarketing of company-owned cars and off-lease vehicle returns to maximize value and align with operational goals.</li> <li>Set and adjust vehicle pricing based on market trends, performance data, and internal KPIs to ensure competitiveness.</li> <li>Oversee vehicle transportation, title management, billing, and payments to ensure smooth processes.</li> <li>Maintain relationships with key vendors to support physical auction and wholesale sales.</li> <li>Continue to enhance the wholesale platform while striving for streamlined processes.</li> <li>Monitor key performance indicators for the used car program and provide actionable insights to leadership.</li> <li>Collaborate with retailers to achieve wholesale objectives and support dealer programs.</li> <li>Work with Polestar Financial Services to ensure efficient handling and remarketing of off-lease vehicles.</li></ul><ul><li>Perform ad hoc analysis related to used car portfolio and inventory valuation, leveraging existing residual value tools.</li><li>Oversee the Certified Pre-Owned program, ensuring compliance and effective administration.</li></ul><ul> <li>Develop and execute customer-facing offers to increase CPO sales while managing variable marketing expenses.</li> <li>Collaborate with marketing teams to execute CPO campaigns and manage budgets effectively.</li> <li>Provide operational support and guidance to dealers, addressing inquiries and ensuring a smooth sales process.</li></ul> Who you are<ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in business.</li> <li>5+ years of experience in automotive experience. wholesale or pre-owned experience preferred.</li> <li>Strong understanding of vehicle remarketing, pricing strategies, and logistics.</li> <li>Familiarity with digital platforms for automotive operations (e.g., Manheim, Dealer Portals).</li> <li>Experience managing Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) programs and marketing activities.</li> <li>Excellent analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions and drive performance.</li> <li>Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.</li> <li>Effective communicator with strong relationship-building skills, especially with vendors and dealers.</li></ul><ul><li>Thorough understanding of residual values (ALG) and used vehicle valuation methods (MMR).</li></ul> People at PolestarWe know that a change is needed.
