We are looking for an experienced Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) professional to oversee all aspects of the CMM lab operations. This role will engage with current and new program development efforts and will be responsible for lab operations, programming and verification. You will be responsible for working in the Safety & Quality organization supporting cross-functional teams from engineering, manufacturing and quality to establish CMM operator procedures, requirements and inspection planning. Candidates will need to have experience working with creating dimensional inspection plans for aerospace parts, assemblies and components. You will need to have applicable aerospace and/ or automotive background with accredited CMM training experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Safety & Quality organization as the CMM subject matter expert
• Leverage expertise in defining requirements, procedures and inspection methods
• General CMM lab and portable equipment daily operations, calibration and maintenance
• Demonstrate knowledge and competency with product verification, first article inspection and inspection planning
• Organize CMM reports for product acceptance and nonconformance reporting
• Interpretation of engineering specifications and drawings to make decisions on product acceptance 

Requirements

• +4 years of applicable experience working with CMM operations
• Applicable automotive or aerospace industry background in composites

Desired

• Aerospace Quality Management Systems standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9102)
• Previous experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
• Advanced 3D CAD modeling knowledge and experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Previous Hexagon experience a plus
