Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Landscape Architecture Intern to be based in New York, NY.
This position is expected to begin Summer 2025.

The Landscape Architecture and Urban Design portfolio in the New York City studio includes a broad range of urban-based, multidisciplinary public realm projects, such as plazas, streetscapes, parks, waterfronts, infrastructure, urban design plans, master-planning, green infrastructure, and ecological restoration. In collaboration with design studio leadership, the candidate will work closely with project design teams and project landscape architects, managers and designers to design and assist in the execution of projects within the New York City metropolitan area, nationally and internationally. Projects in the studio are design-driven and involve close collaboration with engineers, planners, cost estimators, and other technical consultants.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Work on coastal resiliency and climate adaptation infrastructure, multi-scale public landscape, and urban design projects.
- Produce community communication tools such as presentation graphics and physical models of design ideas.
- Assist in the preparation of communication tools at the direction of project design leads via written and verbal instructions.
- Develop cohesive design narratives for the communication of project components.
- Complete technical and administrative activities with employees in the Landscape Architecture and Urban Design Studio as well as with other disciplines and other departments.
- Perform research for onsite specific materials and conditions.
- Perform data collecting for the purposes of the development of design ideas within a creative and collaborative studio design environment.
- Prepare design presentation graphics, renderings, boards for presentation, and physical models.
- Utilize graphic design software for consolidation of data and presentations.
