Job Description

Position Overview

Clarity, a Series A cleantech startup, is looking for an experienced Demand Generation Manager to advance our mission of equipping the world with the tools needed to solve the global air pollution crisis. In this high-impact role, you’ll take ownership of our lead generation programs and help expand the global footprint of our IoT air quality monitoring solution. You will plan and execute multi-channel campaigns targeting ICPs where we have found product-market fit and work with the sales team to evaluate and test new segments for our best-in-class air monitoring technology.

Role 

As our first Demand Generation Manager, you will have a high degree of autonomy in scaling our lead generation efforts to support a rapidly-growing sales organization. You will work closely with the Marketing Lead and the sales team to develop strategies to increase Marketing-sourced pipeline contribution and implement optimizations across the Marketing funnel — from top to bottom — to improve conversion rates. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead end-to-end demand generation campaigns. You'll be in charge of messaging, creative, production, and distribution, bringing everything together into a captivating story for our prospects and customers.
  • Develop marketing strategies to help achieve quarterly lead generation and revenue goals, working cross-functionally with sales, customer success, product, and other marketing team members to build and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Measure and report on demand generation KPIs such as MQL to SQL conversion rates and pipeline contribution on a regular basis, sharing campaign results with other teams and making data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns as needed.
  • Implement optimizations across the Marketing funnel — from top to bottom — to enhance conversion rates. Such initiatives will include (but are not limited to) the development of thought leadership pieces, execution of targeted multi-channel campaigns, implementation of process improvements, and creation of new sales collateral to help advance prospects toward a purchase decision. 

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 3+ years of demand generation experience, preferably in a high-growth B2B or B2G company. A plus if you have experience in air quality or cleantech. 
  • A desire to roll up your sleeves to build a great company that is making a measurable impact on the global air pollution and climate change crises. 
  • Confidence working in a high-autonomy, fast-paced, remote environment where you'll be responsible for decisions that influence the direction of the company. Excellent communication and time-management skills are essential in this role. 
  • Experience with a modern Martech stack — Hubspot expertise is a plus. 
  • Email marketing expertise — should be experienced at writing promotional, product, and nurture email copy while keeping the marketing calendar up to date with all planned programs email factors heavily into our marketing efforts, so you+.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing to develop and manage digital campaigns as needed. Experience with Google AdWords and LinkedIn advertising is a plus. 
  • Experience implementing and scaling a consistent webinar marketing program. 

We’d love to also see the following in the ideal candidate, but if you don’t have it, we’ll help you learn it:

  • Familiarity with the air quality or environmental monitoring space 
  • Experience marketing IoT or cleantech products with a long, complex sales cycle 
  • Proficiency in developing marketing collateral tailored to specific industry segments and/or customer personas
  • Experience with event marketing to help plan and manage conferences, tradeshows, and virtual events
