TheAssistant Manager - Customer Support and Material Planning is to keep the department running in an efficient and cost-effective manner, to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention and to meet their expectations. To lead and manage all procurement and materials management activities including order placement, supplier reduction/evaluation/certification, inventory control, material handling, logistics, and compliance with customer specifications<ul><li>Take ownership of customers issues and seek resolution for all material related issues.</li><li>Ensure to Meet Customer Demand, Ensure delivery on-time and to achieve high vendor rating with all the customers.</li><li>Develop and follow the procedures, policies as per BorgWarner designated standards.</li><li>Keep accurate records &amp; documents, analyze trend statistics and compile reliable reports in both Customer support and Materials team.</li><li>Control resources and utilize assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets</li><li>Adhere to and manage the approved / forecasted budget</li><li>Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities and Material standard practices.</li><li>Responsible for coordinating all aspects of material flow and part delivery within the organization.</li><li>Manage the activities of workers engaged in performing, verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments.</li><li>Supervise the activities of employees relating to the ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping of materials, supplies, tools, and parts.</li><li>Supervise and coordinate personnel engaged in expediting the flow of material and Customer Support.</li><li>Create and maintain and execute material logistic strategies to manage inventory and control excess.</li><li>Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Inventory and Purchasing modules of the organization’s business system.</li><li>Responsible for the layout of the stores and other storage areas keeping turnover, size, weight, and related factors of the items stored in mind.</li><li>Responsible for determining the proper methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining and shipping stock.</li><li>Accountable for maintaining corporate ISO procedures relating to the Materials Group.
