Will be responsible for overall project schedule and budget and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Collaborate as needed with other engineering business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally. May have exposure to the external customers and/or industry organizations.</li><li>Perform and check complex engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to JLG as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.</li><li>Participate in the budgeting process to include recommending capital improvements and preparing justification data as required.</li><li>Research, study, and propose use of new technologies to be used in the development of new and improved products.</li><li>Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.</li><li>Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards. Ensure that technical issues are conducted within the framework of company policies and procedures.</li><li>Directs preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.</li><li>Provide subject matter expertise leadership to a large technical staff to ensure program success. Assure designs meet customer requirements, statutory requirements, and corporate objectives.</li><li>Provide leadership to the Business Unit (BU) engineering group as needed to support BU and Corporate business objectives.
