Aether is an award-winning climate tech startup based in New York City’s fabled Diamond District. We transform air pollution into valuable forms of solid carbon - starting with breathtaking diamond gemstones. Aether diamonds are the rarest in the world and the first to have a tangible, positive impact on the environment. For every carat of diamond sold, we remove twenty tonnes of CO2 from the air. About the Role

Aether is looking for a highly experienced jewelry industry veteran to join our team as Vice President of Sales. You will have the opportunity to help establish a new category of luxury lab-grown diamonds that shatter preconceived notions about what a diamond represents. Under your leadership, Aether will build a world-class wholesale program that brings our diamonds to retailers around the globe. In addition to recruiting top sales talent, you will have the chance to work with a team of experts who are highly motivated and mission-driven. This position reports directly to the company’s Chief Executive Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed established wholesale sales targets by onboarding new retailers and brand partners
  • Build retailer training program
  • Create all necessary sales and marketing assets necessary to support company’s wholesale business
  • Research and prospect new accounts that are on brand and will drive commercial growth
  • Select and implement a CRM solution
  • Run weekly/monthly/annual sales reports
  • Track sales trends for forecasting purposes
  • Work with C-Suite to develop forward-looking sales estimates and goals
  • Recruit new sales talent and cultivate a strong and cohesive sales team

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the jewelry industry
  • Experience establishing a loose diamond and/or jewelry wholesale program and creating the necessary sales and marketing assets
  • Strong and established network within the US jewelry retail sector
  • Ability to devise and implement a variety of sales strategies
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Based in or near NYC

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior startup experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, Slack, Asana

Compensation & Benefits
