Lead Dispatcher
Transdev in Dallas, Texas is hiring a Lead Dispatcher. Our Lead Dispatcher ensures the Dispatch team fills all the routes and provides Operators with timely instructions and responses. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee road service and trip performance measures, i.e. route start time, on-time performance, incidents
- Respond to customer and driver questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
- Manage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated calls.
- Supervise staff on weekends and evenings.
- Manage department reports and other communication tools.
- Overseeing and providing training to personnel performing dispatch duties.
- Support employees and drivers with internal and external requests.
- Assist Dispatch Manager with resolving problems and requests.
- Prioritize calls based on importance and urgency.
- Assist with developing and communicating standard operating procedures
- Maintains contact with drivers to communicate updates, delays, or special instructions.
- Assist Dispatch Manager in accurately tracking and responding to complaints to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional wait times.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred.
- Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and drive results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- High level of problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address service concerns proactively.

Physical Requirements
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
- Conduct oral and written presentations on behalf of the organization.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
