Job Description

We're looking for a talented and ambitious public relations and content professional to support Zoomo's global communications strategy. This candidate will be cross functional, working with marketing, operations and product teams, as well as regional GMs and leadership executives, to develop and execute impactful storytelling through public relations/media, digital content, events and awards that will drive engagement and brand awareness.

This person will support our B2B and B2C media communications and content efforts in the UK/EU, and will also support in developing content for global markets (AU, US, UK, EU), gaining the experience of working in a truly global company. They will report directly to Zoomo's Global Head of Public Relations, and sit within the broader global Marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement PR stories that build awareness of our brand and product.
  • Create compelling content with customers and partners to generate powerful stories about our products and services (blogs, opinion pieces, social media copy).
  • Manage press office including, responding to reactive media requests in a timely manner, pitching to journalists, developing briefing documents, briefing executives, hosting media interviews.
  • Nurture and grow relationships with journalists and industry experts to capture high-value media and content placements.
  • Develop a proactive ideas PR/Content calendar, incorporating thought leadership, key moments in time etc.
  • Support our events strategy, including identifying events, speaking opportunities, panels and more.
  • Support our awards strategy, including identifying industry awards, support on drafting entries and more.
  • General admin including coverage tracking, measurement, media monitoring.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience working in-house or PR agency (B2B and B2C experience)
  • Communications or Journalism degree
  • Experience writing media releases, media content, blogs, opinion pieces
  • Experience managing a strong network of media contacts in both the consumer and business space
  • A deep understanding of the UK/EU media landscape
  • A hunger to get things done
  • High level of initiative and proactivity, as well as the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
