Should have a strong desire to be part of a new frontier for electric mobility and technology. The ability to research, interpret, and create necessary strategies to meet applicable regulations is essential. Must be a self-starter who can identify solutions to the Company’s needs with little instruction. This person will report to the Product Compliance Manager and must be able to work cross-functionally to ensure we successfully meet the relative regulations in requested sales markets.  The ideal candidate should have a professional working application of the English language.Areas of Focus:<ul><li>Battery powered ITE-type device compliance</li><li>Electric bicycle and component compliance</li><li>Wireless (BLE, ANT+) and EMC compliance</li><li>Regulatory knowledge pertaining to manuals, labels, and packaging  </li><li>Electrical certification in global markets</li></ul>Specific Skills or Knowledge:<ul><li>Possess strong investigative research skills and ability to understand regulations and standards</li><li>Ability to present and communicate legal and technical details to a wide audience</li><li>Collaborate with engineering to identify and implement product compliance requirements</li><li>Work with Trek suppliers and participate in clear direction and knowledge growth</li><li>Work with global subsidiaries and suppliers in product testing, certification, and type-approval</li><li>Assist in coordinating third-party testing in global labs and support investigation of failures</li><li>Organize/maintain documentation for compliance (e.g. certifications, test reports, technical files, etc.)</li><li>Experience with Radio equipment approvals (FCC, IC, EU RED, KCC, Japan Radio Law, CMIIT, etc.)</li><li>Understanding of electrical product safety topics (current and emerging regulations)</li><li>Experience working with standards development (ASTM, ANSI, IEC, ISO, etc.)</li><li>Ability to assist product development teams with compliance budgets and scheduling</li><li>Development of compliance strategies to reduce costs and time to market</li><li></ul>General Skills or Knowledge:<ul><li>Manage multiple projects at the same time; prioritize and possess a sense of urgency</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle complex issues and provide clear, actional advice</li><li>Ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and objectives</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint)</li><li>Possible international travel and participate with international standards development</li></ul>Training:  Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree preferred but will consider candidates with equivalent experience.Culture:  Desire to be part of best bicycle company in the world and to ride bikes and have fun!If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
