About the role

We are looking for a dynamic self-starter to manage the many and varied operations functions that are involved in a venture-backed start-up company, with a Boston-based headquarters and tech team, and thriving internationally-based commercial team. 

You are organized, empathic, and thrive in bringing order to chaos, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills. You are an excellent multitasker who can prioritize effectively and timely across multiple responsibilities, with judgment and tact. You are aligned with our core mission, curious about technology, and good at tolerating ambiguity. But most importantly, you are committed to supporting the team members at Chloris who are all passionate about building a successful company to tackle the biggest challenges of our generation.

Responsibilities:

Company Culture + People Operations 

  • Manage initiatives that drive organizational culture, ensuring alignment between the company’s values and its operational practices 
  • Facilitate monthly All-Hands meetings and annual in-person company convenings, in collaboration with the leadership team
  • Manage recruiting and on-boarding processes for new U.S. and international team members 
  • Manage annual performance management process
  • Manage systems, tools and vendors that support people operations tasks

Finance + Administration 

  • Coordinate the providers of the  company’s administrative and legal services 
  • Working with out-sourced bookkeeper, follow finance and accounting policies and procedures to manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) 
  • Manage credit card and expense reimbursement processes
  • Maintain corporate filings and annual tax preparation
  • Manage company-wide calendars

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in executive support, project management, or operations, with a demonstrated track record of managing complex tasks and projects 
  • Experience supporting diverse teams, particularly in fast-paced or dynamic environments
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize various projects from ideation to completion
  • High proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Suite, and other relevant software tools for collaboration 
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Proven ability to practice of discretion and confidentiality
  • Proactive approach to work with self-direction
  • Can-do attitude to find creative solutions for ambiguous situations 

Location + Time Commitment:

This is a full-time position, requiring hybrid work from our Boston office at least two days/week. Candidates who live outside of commuting distance to Boston, or who are unable to relocate, will unfortunately not be considered for this role.
