This is an ideal role for a semi-retired tradesman or former construction supervisor who enjoys staying active in the field, working independently, and being part of a purpose-driven team.About the Role: As an Inspection Sitter, you'll represent Team Sunshine at solar inspection appointments across residential job sites. You’ll meet with local building and utility inspectors, ensure everything is ready for inspection, and assist as needed on-site. This is a flexible, steady position that doesn’t require a journeyman license—just a solid background in residential construction and good people skills.Preferred Background:<ul><li>Former CSL holder (Construction Supervisor License) preferred, but not required</li><li>Background in residential construction or project management</li><li>Comfortable reading project documentation and understanding basic solar/electrical systems</li><li>Reliable and professional demeanor, able to work independently</li></ul>Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Arrive on-site 15 minutes prior to scheduled solar inspections</li><li>Meet with municipal or utility inspectors, providing documentation and information as needed</li><li>Review site conditions and verify labeling, system readiness, and code compliance</li><li>Assist in opening solar equipment or main electrical panels for inspectors</li><li>Perform rapid shutdown tests and basic commissioning (training provided)</li><li>Make minor corrections if inspections fail (no journeyman work required)</li><li>Pick up documentation and route assignments from the warehouse as needed</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Valid driver’s license</li><li>Ability to drive across Massachusetts and neighboring areas</li><li>Comfortable using ladders and light hand tools</li><li>Attention to detail and a dependable work ethic</li><li>Previous solar experience is a plus, but not required</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Perks:<ul><li>$35–$40/hr depending on experience</li><li>Gas card and EZPass provided</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Great team and positive mission-driven culture</li></ul> </div>

The management team has over 8 years of experience in the solar industry, with over 400 residential installations managed around the country. Team Sunshine is primarily focused on the Northeast states, but can manage installations almost anywhere in the country with their network of contractors and partners.
