We develop the engineering solutions and technological innovations necessary to enable exceptional freedom of product design. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer on the Advanced Engineering team, you will architect vehicle concepts to help realize groundbreaking products for the future of electric vehicles.</p><p>This role will be filled by an individual who is experienced in Vehicle Architecture, or a Senior Engineer who is specialized in one area of automotive mechanical engineering such as Structures, Chassis, Suspension, or Powertrain and who has the interest and insight to adopt a full vehicle perspective and lead engineering product definition.</p><p>The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about engineering, decomposes problems down to fundamentals, strives for excellence, manages uncertainties, collaborates effectively, and has the willingness to put in the extra effort to create exceptional products.</p><p>Role:</p><p>· Develop vehicle architecture from a blank page to concept design and engineering validation.</p><p>· Optimize mechanical, structural, and systems architectures for size, weight, performance, and cost.</p><p>· Quickly CAD/sketch parts for systems across the vehicle which may include body structures, chassis, suspension, battery, interiors, exteriors, and ergonomics.</p><p>· Navigate ambiguity, balancing concept-phase assumptions and risks to deduce options for engineering trade studies and define winning business cases.</p><p>· Collaborate cross-functionally with subject-matter experts and attribute owners across the company such as vehicle safety, vehicle dynamics, NVH, durability, and manufacturing.</p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>· 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience</p><p>· Automotive experience specialized in structures, chassis, suspension, powertrain, manufacturing, or vehicle architecture.</p><p>· Proficiency in CAD modeling.
