<h2>Our Mission  </h2>SPAN is enabling electrification for all ⚡<h2>We are a mission-driven company designing, building, and deploying products that electrify the built environment, reduce carbon emissions, and slow the effects of climate change.</h2><ul style=""><li>Decarbonization is the process to reduce or remove greenhouse gas emissions, especially carbon dioxide, from entering our atmosphere.</li><li>Electrification is the process of replacing fossil fuel appliances that run on gas or oil with all-electric upgrades for a cleaner way to power our lives.</li></ul><h2>At SPAN, we believe in:</h2><ul style=""><li>Enabling homes and vehicles powered by clean energy</li><li>Making electrification upgrades possible</li><li>Building more resilient homes with reliable backup</li><li>Designing a flexible and distributed electrical grid</li></ul><h2>The Role</h2><ul style=""><li>Team Mission:  The QA team plays a key role throughout the entire development process at Span.  The team is responsible for the quality of all SPAN products to ensure that the customer has an amazing experience through testing, planning, and having the foresight to eliminate issues before they reach our customers.  </li><li>Specific Areas of Focus: Establish a deep understanding of our products that include our mobile apps and hardware such as our SPAN home electrical panel, as well as their underlying architecture to help create and test robust test scenarios that mimic real-life usage.  </li></ul>ResponsibilitiesAs a Sr. QA Engineer, you will be expected to:<ul style=""><li>Lead and take ownership of projects.</li><li>Design and execute test cases, including both manual and automated</li><li>Identify opportunities for automation whenever possible.</li><li>Perform thorough regression tests documented by test reports</li><li>Identify, record, thoroughly document and track bugs</li><li>Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products</li><li>Collaborate with other teams such as Product, Design, and Engineering teams to help with test planning and identifying system requirements</li></ul><h2>About You </h2>Required Qualifications<ul style=""><li>BS or MS in Engineering or Computer Science or industry equivalent experience</li><li>Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer - Mobile role testing on iOS and Android platforms.</li><li>Testing firmware, hardware / IoT products in addition to software</li><li>Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test case design and automated testing.</li><li>Writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases</li><li>Testing Mobile apps with Android and iOS (native and web-based)</li><li>Android Studio and XCode</li><li>Experience with CI/CD tools and Github (i.e, CircleCI, Docker).</li><li>Effective communication and collaboration skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail</li><li>White and Gray box testing</li><li>Experience with test plan management tools like Testrail</li><li>Working knowledge in one of SPAN’s coding language: Python, Javascript, TypeScript.</li></ul>Bonus Qualifications<ul style=""><li>Experience working in a startup environment</li><li>Experience with or preference for a rapid or continuous release cadence</li><li>Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.</li><li>Experience w/ GraphQL or GRPC</li><li>Experience working in the Renewable Energy industry</li></ul><h2>Life at SPAN</h2>Our Bengaluru team plays a pivotal role in SPAN’s continued growth and expansion.
