Are you ready to jump onboard? We are now looking for a  CNC Machinist - Night Shift to join our team working for a better future.  The preferred location for the position is in Havant, UK.  What you will be doing  You will work during the following shift pattern: Nights  (4 Nights  ½ hour lunch)Mon      22:30  07:30Tues     22:30  07:30Wed     22:30  07:30Thurs   22:30  07:30 As CNC Machinist, your work will focus on these responsibilities:  <ul><li>Drive improvements as part of continuous improvement culture</li><li>Working in a safe manner in line with the companies Health and Safety policy</li><li>Maintain working area to a good standard as part of 5S</li><li>Ensure quality is maintained and follow processes for area to company standards</li><li>Carry out tasks in accordance with set process times to meet deadlines</li><li>Have a flexible approach and at times move onto other disciplines within skill set</li><li>Help with skills flex training and cross train others when required.</li></ul> To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:  <ul><li>Experience of working in an Engineering environment.</li><li>Previous experience of setting/operating Mazak machines</li><li>Ability to read Engineering Drawings</li><li>Ability to read CNC code, ISO (G code) / Mazatrol</li><li>Offline Programming Experience Edgecam/Mastercam/Mazatrol - advantageous</li><li>Ideally Apprentice served</li><li>Understanding of Turning and Milling techniques</li><li>Ability to problem solve </li><li>Understand Health&amp; Safety environment/procedures Read and understand Engineering drawings</li><li>Good communicator with all levels of business (written &amp; verbal) Hands on approach with a strong work ethic</li><li>Education:<ul><li>GCSE/O Level or equivalent.</li><li>Apprentice served</li></ul></li><li>Experience:<ul><li>5 years (min) Engineering experience within the manufacturing industry. (Apprentice Trained)</li><li>5 years (min) CNC machining experience</li><li>Milling and turning experience preferred</li><li>CI experience (Lean 8 wastes).
