Overview

The Chancery Lane Project (TCLP) is a global collaboration of legal professionals creating practical legal solutions to combat climate change. Together we develop contractual clauses for inclusion in contracts, codifying the contract parties’ commitment to realising a decarbonised economy. 

About the role of IT and Networks Manager

This is a unique opportunity to create innovative IT solutions for climate action. 

This role is both strategic and administrative. The ideal candidate will be excited about creating something new and impactful in the fight against climate change, and also understand the importance of administration and servicing infrastructure for achieving our mission.

We need to develop existing and new IT systems to take our work to scale. We envisage these systems including, but not being limited to:

  • Client relationship management and project management systems
  • A distributed version-control and content management system
  • The TCLP website, optimised for efficient user journeys, and
  • Events management, data management, security, document sharing, email and team communications systems etc.

This role reports to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Finding and implementing creative IT solutions to maximise impact
  • IT system administration
  • IT user administration
  • IT and data security policies, enforcing protocols and ensuring security measures
  • Maintaining and optimising CRM data in Salesforce
  • Maintaining TCLP’s website, ensuring data accuracy and optimal user experience
  • Providing IT support to other team members, where needed

About you

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, who is passionate about sustainability and climate action. You will have the following attributes:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Specifically, the candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Passion for finding simple technical solutions to complex problems
  • An understanding of, and interest in, network science and using IT to develop communities and meaningful human relationships
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and applications, including the following: Microsoft and Google office suites, Salesforce (or similar CRM system), Zoom
  • Website management experience
  • IT helpdesk/ support experience
  • BSc in Computer Science or MIS (or equivalent)

Employment arrangements

  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 p.a. depending on experience
  • Min 4 days p.w.; ideally full time - flexible hours
  • Remote working, UK based
  • 25 days holiday p.a. plus 8 public holidays
