Enphase is also one of the most successful and innovative clean energy companies in the world, with more than 80 million products shipped across 160 countries.</div><div><br>Join our dynamic teams designing and developing next-gen energy technologies and help drive a sustainable future!</div><div> </div><div>Must be available to work on-site at our Bangalore office <strong>5 days per week</strong>.</div><p><a></a>About the role</p><p>As a Staff Engineer- Thermal, you will be proficient in Thermal and structural design of Electromechanical, Battery products and power electronics, you will work in a team of Mechanical Engineers who design and develop state of the art solar power microinverter, Energy storage systems, Peripheral component interconnection equipment etc. and work on day-to-day support of released products and cost reduction projects.</p><p><a></a><a></a>What you will be doing</p><ul><li>Responsible for the development of thermal and structural design solutions and working with component suppliers like heatsink, fan, thermal pad, etc</li><li>Should have thorough knowledge of preparing test plans for validation of the analysis solution</li><li>Product qualification testing in environmentally controlled chamber at different ambient following industry standards/specifications</li><li>Responsible for Thermo-Mechanical and structural design from concept to final product</li><li>Work with global development and cross functional teams</li><li>Development of products for outdoor application which meets various Ingress Protection (IP) ratings</li><li>Interact with UL and other labs (CPRI, TUVE, etc) for conducting various experiments related to solar products for product validation</li><li>Complete documentation for simulation design, analysis and experimental/testing results</li></ul><p>Who you are and what you bring</p><ul><li>A technical Degree (Bachelor or higher qualification) in Mechanical Engineering</li><li>8+ yrs related experience + BS OR Masters + 6 yrs in product development</li><li>Experience in thermal design of Inverters and Battery Energy storage systems development is preferred</li><li>Good expertise in one or more Analysis Tools – Simcenter Flotherm, Icepack, Solidworks Flow simulation, ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL Multiphysics MSC Nastran etc</li><li>Able to prepare simplified CAD geometries to perform CFD simulations independently using Tools like Solidworks</li><li>Strong fundamentals in Heat transfer, Fluid flow and CFD concepts</li><li>Good knowledge in product standards like IEC, UL &amp; NEMA standards for different countries</li><li>Good knowledge in Mechanical design standards for various products &amp; experience in DFMEA analysis for new product development</li><li>Experience of Thermal and Structural Mechanical design from concept to final product</li><li>Experience and thorough knowledge of preparing test plans for validation of the analysis solution</li><li>Knowledge in thermal modelling of Circuit breakers and PCBAs is an added advantage</li><li>Experience in both thermal and structural simulations (FEA)</li><li>Experience in passive cooling techniques like heat pipe, Phase Change materials and other state of the art techniques</li><li>Experience of working with global development and cross functional teams</li><li>Ability to think laterally and solve unique problems</li><li>Investigate, analyse and resolve product failures</li><li>Should have experience on experimental techniques and methods using flow measurement devices, thermocouples, flow and thermal visualization tools</li><li>Good communication and documentation skills</li></ul><div><p> </p></div>
