About the role:

As Biomanufacturing Process Lead, you will help manage the daily operations of the very first cultivated leather pilot manufacturing site! Reporting to the Pilot Manufacturing Manager, you will help build our pilot operations from the ground up by supervising the daily operations of the floor, aiding in process development, drafting Standard Operating Procedures, and overseeing inventory control.

You will be an essential part of the Pilot Manufacturing Team which will help test new equipment and processes developed by the R&D team, be involved in technology transfer, and maintain a safe and efficient operation of pilot scale production.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily updates to the Pilot Manufacturing Manager regarding production challenges, areas for improvement, and needs of manufacturing associates.
  • Oversee daily pilot manufacturing operations and ensure the safety and maintenance of the production floor in partnership with the Facilities Operations team.
  • Participate in the installation and evaluation of new equipment and bioreactor technologies in partnership with R&D and Facilities Operations.
  • Collaborate with the Pilot Manufacturing Manager on process improvements and appropriate operating parameters to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Draft and edit Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain Pilot Manufacturing inventory
  • Onboard and train to new employees

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading full-cycle bioprocess manufacturing production equipment and operations
  • Experience (or interest in) conducting on-the-job training and supervising a team
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and clean room principles
  • Available to work weekends

Compensation:

  • $120,000 - $130,000
