About the role

We’re looking for a product marketing manager to lead Afresh’s market and competitive research for emerging products and develop positioning and messaging to build new business lines and accelerate Afresh’s growth. This is a unique opportunity to bring insights and build plans that will shape strategic decisions and influence the product roadmap to ultimately transform the grocery industry and dramatically reduce food waste.

In this role you will:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for our product expansion areas including additional fresh departments beyond Produce and the Distribution Center product line
  • Influence product roadmaps through providing best-in-class industry insights about the grocery industry
  • Build and maintain a set of foundational marketing assets (e.g., battlecards, objection handling, messaging/positioning documents, personas, whitepapers) and sales tools (e.g., competitive takeout slides, trainings, playbooks)
  • Understand competitive product offerings and positioning and be able to convert those insights into actionable plans and programs within Afresh to close product or operational gaps
  • Be customer-obsessed and systematically bring customer and prospective customer feedback into your plans
  • Partner closely with product, sales, account management, and sales engineering to bring an objective-oriented, iterative approach to competing in the trust & safety marketplace

Skills and experience

  • 3+ years experience managing strategy and GTM efforts for a product / product line
  • Technical fluency with ability to collaborate with product management and product design, and willingness to get hands-on with the product
  • Strong strategic mind and ability to recognize opportunity and prioritize efforts accordingly
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a strong ability to distil complexity into crisp, easily comprehensible messaging
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather data, both qualitative and quantitative, emerge with insights, and make and communicate well-reasoned decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ability to motivate cross-functionally and drive deadlines
  • Ability to multitask, change priorities rapidly, and work through ambiguity with ease
