Job Mission
The Corporate Partnerships Marketing Manager will help grow and deepen Terraformation’s relationships with a portfolio of corporate partners.The role includes planning, managing and executing engagement programs to spread the word about forests as a natural climate solution. This work will contribute to growing Terraformation’s industry network and brand presence among different categories of enterprises including Fortune 500 companies and private equity firms.  The right candidate for this role will work cross-functionally between Terraformation leads to help implement activations that are inline with Terraformation’s brand.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Terraformation’s point of contact for forestry project and seed bank sponsors, keeping up to date with developments and flagging opportunities for Terraformation to engage
  • Help create and launch a seed bank sponsorship program
  • Help devise and launch a corporate partner alliance for seed banking
  • Manage a portfolio of sponsors and lead development and execution of engagement programs that raise awareness of seed banking in the conservation and climate change conversation 
  • Identify additional opportunities with sponsors to support their company ESG programs, further their UN SDG goals, and drive larger investments
  • Support prospect research identifying new sponsors 
  • Support the Head of Brand Marketing in campaign rollouts by communicating with sponsors to build brand and message exposure; this could include providing organizations with assets to support the sponsor and their projects
  • Support the Head of Brand Marketing in strategy and execution of Terraformation’s presence at industry events as well as any Terraformation-hosted events
  • Support relationship building with potential forestry partners and collaborate with the Forestry Partnerships team when beneficial
  • Conduct in-depth, targeted research and data interpretation
  • Work with cross-functional teams across different time zones

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the sustainability industry, prefer experience in global sustainability organizations 
  • Passion for Terraformation’s mission and highly motivated to help solve the climate crisis 
  • Exceptional English communication skills; fluency in other languages a plus
  • A creative thinker and energetic team player, comfortable getting into the weeds 
  • A self-starter who can propose new ideas and own it from beginning to end
  • Comfortable building a program from the ground up
