Provide technical expertise to the sourcing team in identifying and assessing category suppliers. Assist in negotiating technical requirements and specifications with suppliers for optimal quality and cost-effectiveness. Act as a technical expert in component engineering, guiding, and supporting project teams. Stay updated with the latest advancements in component technologies and materials to drive innovation.Your BackgroundBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Material Science, Engineering, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience, or a Ph.D. with 2-3 years of experience. Preferred experience in the transformer industry and a strong background in supplier technology development. Advanced knowledge of component engineering and material specifications. Proven ability to develop and implement standardized solutions for component usage. Familiarity with SAP S/4Hana and Windchill preferred. Strong understanding of part qualification processes, quality standards, and practices in component engineering.
