In an ML-first system, the overall system performance depends heavily on the quantity and diversity of its training and evaluation data. The team plays a crucial role in the advancement of autonomous driving systems by creating a scalable and reliable data infrastructure and tooling. This infrastructure is designed to produce training and evaluation data derived from both on-road logs, simulation logs, and evaluation results. Additionally, the team collaborates closely with system engineers to thoroughly validate the autonomous driving system before its deployment. Our team’s goals are to<ul><li>Accelerate autonomy iteration by generating useful evaluation signals</li><li>Promote data consistent between Behavior and Safety teams</li></ul>About the Work <ul><li>Design and develop a tooling platform to ingest, store, and trace Petabytes of ingested onroad data</li><li>Design and develop intuitive tools to visualize, aggregate, and introspectable training data, processing pipelines, and evaluation results to facilitate comparisons in identifing progression and regression for each ML component</li><li>Develop and maintain continuous testing and monitoring systems to guarantee data integrity and resilience of our data pipelines.</li></ul>About You <ul><li>You have a degree in B.Sc or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related</li><li>4+ years of industry experience as web front-end or full stack developer</li><li>Industry experience with front-end technologies including Typescript and React</li><li>Proficiency in Python or similar languages</li><li>Industry experience integrating with datastores such as BigQuery, PostgreSQL</li><li>Industry experience working cross functionally with backend-engineers, UX design, and product managers to launch 0 to 1 products</li><li>Experience with REST API design</li><li>Experience with CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins, Bazel, etc.</li></ul>At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $138,225 and $250,800/year for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
