The fabrication team is a dynamic part of Twelve’s technical team and is responsible for manufacturing the core component of our CO2 electrolyzer. The team works collaboratively to translate research ideas into functioning systems. 

Job Brief

MEA Characterization Engineers are tasked with characterizing the physical properties of membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) for Twelve’s electrochemical CO2 reduction process. In this role, you will work on a team to provide rapid feedback for R&D formulation and fabrication condition. Quality control and attention to detail are key to our success and forward progress.

What you will do

  • Characterize inks for experimental and daily electrode fabrication 
  • Characterize electrode products for our R&D projects using various tools
  • Help develop and improve characterization methods for various process and product stages
  • Analyze measurement data for process and characterization parameters 
  • Communicate findings to the team in a standard report format
  • Maintain and manage characterization tools

Who you are

  • You’re excited about growth and looking for a position that will give you opportunities to expand your skills in characterization, quality control, data analysis
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, or Associate’s degree with some industry experience
  • You have experience working with physical characterization tools such as microscopy
  • You have high attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • You have great ability to communicate effectively with the team and use standard operating procedures (SOP)
