EnergyHub is hiring an IT & Network Administrator to manage company wide hardware and software systems. This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is on a team owning DevOps and security functions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and upgrade the office network
  • Manage company networking software from our Downtown Brooklyn office
  • Partner with HR and our parent company’s IT team for the onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Configure company wide software systems
  • Perform on-site support for hardware systems

Required Experience

The required experience reflects most of the skills you would need to be successful in your role. If you don't have this experience, but do have relevant related experience that would help you perform your job duties, please still apply!

  • Working knowledge of modern networking tech like VPNs and VPCs
  • Experience with configuring company laptops
  • Experience with maintaining networking hardware, particularly Cisco routers
  • Experience with systems such as Slack, GSuite, Zoom, Dropbox
  • Experience resolving software configuration issues for remote and in person teams

None of this experience is in any way required, but will be a huge benefit to your success in this role. If you have any experience beyond this that you think will be a benefit in this role, please tell us about it!

  • IT Certification (CompTIA, Cisco, etc)
  • Experience working with a software development team
  • Experience working as a partner to security and compliance teams
  • Experience working with a HR team to improve employee experience
  • Experience with light scripting in a language like Python or Bash, if only to know when your coworkers in DevOps can help automate a manual process
