EnergyHub is hiring an IT & Network Associate to work in our Brooklyn, NY office and manage company hardware and software systems. This critical role incorporates a broad range of duties including providing IT Support to employees and assisting them with hardware and software problems via phone, in-person, and email.  As an IT Associate, you will expand your knowledge and skills to develop competencies in networking and computer systems. 

Responsibilities

  • Devise and communicate policies and procedures to help EnergyHub improve on- and off-boarding and ensure smooth functioning of our teams’ digital life. 
  • Be our go-to resource for IT support and questions.
  • Partner with our parent company’s IT team and help EnergyHub reduce friction in IT operations.
  • Maintain computer software and hardware, including GSuite, Mac OS, Internet services, databases, printing, scanning, video conferencing, audio visual services, and other technology services 
  • Provide telephone, in person, and remote IT support to end-users
  • Install new software, upgrade existing software and drivers, test and administer software applications
  • Perform administrative tasks for the computer environment. Record and report on ServiceNow tickets, take inventory and manage equipment and software inventories, maintain supplies and replacement parts 
  • Produce reliable record keeping and inventory tracking 
  • Work with standardized desktop software images for desktop and laptop computers 
  • Provide end user support – Antivirus, malware, and phishing
  • Partner in operational reporting of the company’s patch and vulnerability programs
  • Perform analysis of end user computer security events

Key Qualifications

  • 2+ years providing IT support to end-users
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems
  • Working knowledge of modern networking tech like VPNs and VPCs 
  • Experience with maintaining networking hardware, particularly Cisco routers
  • Experience with systems such as Slack, GSuite, Zoom, and Dropbox
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree  
  • CompTIA A+, Security +, and Network + Certification(s)
