Elemental is seeking a passionate self-starter to join its Navigator team, Elemental’s hub for corporate-startup collaboration, as Corporate Partnerships Engagement Manager. In this role, you will be designing and implementing events that promote partner and startup collaboration, such as customized innovation challenges, technology deep dives, and partner reverse-pitch events. You will also be managing relationships with our many Navigator members, such as Amazon, United Airlines, Ford, and Pepsi. This is a high-energy, passionate, external-facing team within the organization that seeks to drive towards four outcomes with our Navigator members: investments, acquisitions, pilot projects, and commercial-scale roll outs.

This position will report to the Head of Corporate Partnerships and work closely with the team’s Senior Analyst and Analyst.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Partner Engagement

  • Design, launch, lead, and facilitate events for Navigator members, such as innovation challenges, Climate Tech Deep Dives, and more
  • Manage existing corporate relationships and cultivate new relationships with sustainability-focused corporates
  • Provide innovation advisory to corporate partners, such as identifying relevant investment and/or commercial opportunities and synthesizing market trends
  • Support the Head of Corporate Partnerships with strategic planning for the Navigator program
  • Consistently develop innovative processes to improve startup-corporate engagement
Portfolio and Pipeline Services
  • Attract high-potential startups that may be a good fit for corporate partners and/or Elemental Excelerator
  • Evaluate accelerator applicants during our annual due diligence process
  • Support Elemental’s portfolio and pipeline companies with outcome-driven engagements including investments, project deployments, and/or acquisitions
  • Develop technical expertise in one or more of Elemental’s investment verticals: energy, mobility, food & agriculture, water, and circular economy (preferably food & agriculture and/or mobility)
Communications
  • Own the Navigator brand and related external messaging
  • Liaise with the Elemental Communications team to build business development materials, presentations, web content, sales collateral (written and film), blog posts, and other content as needed
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of meaningful experience, such as project management and sales/business development
  • Outstanding organizational and relationship development skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage senior audiences
  • Professional written communications skills
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Eager to learn and take on new challenges and initiatives
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fluency in one or more program topic areas: energy, mobility, food & agriculture, water, and circular economy (preferably food & agriculture and/or mobility)
  • Experience working with startups
  • Experience building corporate networks
  • Experience working at a large corporate, understanding of decision-making structures, and familiarity with various innovation strategies within a Fortune 500
Other Details:

We will consider candidates located anywhere in the U.S.; however, you will be expected to be available during working hours in one of our HQ locations, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi or East Palo Alto, California, and when in-person work resumes be able to travel to our HQs (e.g., quarterly).

Compensation & Benefits

Elemental Excelerator offers a competitive salary based on the organization’s compensation philosophy, which is grounded in market data. We also offer comprehensive health & welfare benefits and top-of-the-market paid time off. This is a full-time "at-will" position working 40 hours per week.
