Elemental is seeking a go-getter to join its People Team as Talent Manager. In this role, you will lead and drive Elemental’s recruiting efforts in collaboration with the Director of People Operations. In addition to this you will nurture and support employee engagement, candidate experience strategy and onboarding. This is an encouraging team within the organization that will ultimately be expected to help us grow responsibly, intentionally and with a priority for diversity.

This position will report to the Director of People Operations. The role will also be responsible for representing the brand and mission externally to candidates and prospective candidates who are passionate about climate tech x social justice careers. This is a meaningful opportunity to lead recruiting & onboarding efforts, to grow engagement and inclusion in climate careers within Elemental as well as our greater ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage the day-to-day of recruiting including leading ATS pipeline
  • Support and co-lead onboarding projects and initiatives
  • Drive and support Hiring Managers in setting up new job descriptions, interview plans and candidate pipeline metrics for each role
  • Administer and conduct first interviews with candidates
  • Support team interviews and Hiring Managers as interviews advance
  • Build and use systems to check in during hiring process, debrief on final candidate selection and execute offers
  • Collaborate with the Director of People to clearly define DEI metrics and goals for recruiting success
  • Contribute to the onboarding experience designed by the People Team
  • Advise on HR and People compliance matters in partnership with the Director of People
Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Maintain current and design then implement new recruiting processes and procedures
  • Report and track recruiting metrics (DEI, time to hire etc)
  • Co-create and further advance our sourcing strategy (direct outreach, job board postings, network & industry groups)
  • Stay up-to-date on labor legislation and inform team about changes in regulations that impact recruiting and onboarding
  • Work closely with the Director of People to implement interviewing, hiring and recruitment training for managers and team members
  • Support Director of People in Recruiting & People Forecasting process

This role will be an integral part of Elemental’s People Team. In addition to being the lead for recruiting, this role will influence and impact candidate experience & journey, employee engagement & lifecycle. As well as be part of an internal service providers team who is excited about growing and redesigning the systems at the root of climate change by advocating for climate careers and opportunities.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable experience in full-cycle recruiting that handles all phases of the recruitment and hiring process
  • Ability to craft and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles with a DEI and equity lens applied to all recruiting
  • Ability to manage hiring managers’ expectations, create interview plans, run metrics and reporting for all role levels
  • Partner closely with business partners to understand their hiring objectives and develop sourcing strategies to strategically meet headcount and hiring goals, including anticipating future talent needs and drive proactive sourcing
  • Experience and finds joy in supporting onboarding, employee engagement and staying up to date on People/HR compliance to further the org’s mission
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations and standard processes applicable to hiring, recruitment and People/HR practices
  • Experience in a fast-growth environment and managing multiple pipelines and/or climate experience
Other Details:

We will consider candidates located in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi or the Bay Area, California. Elemental has a hybrid working model, this role will be expected to be available remotely during HQ working hours, and when in-person work resumes be able to commute to one of our HQ locations: Honolulu, Hawaiʻi or East Palo Alto, California.

Elemental Excelerator offers a competitive salary based on the organization’s compensation philosophy, which is grounded in market data. We also offer comprehensive health & welfare benefits and top of the market paid time off. This is a full-time "at-will" position working 40 hours per week.
