We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Human Resource (HR) professional to work with Andes’ senior leadership to achieve our organizational goals.

Location: Emeryville, CA

 

Responsibilities

  • Administer payroll, employee benefits and Family Medical Leave Act.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion awareness in hiring practices, and help establish best-practices for a successful interview process.
  • Research and analyze employee trends to understand ways to increase employee engagement and retention advise leadership on hiring and terminations.
  • Provide guidance on employee behavior and conflict resolution, conduct investigations in response to employee complaints.
  • Mentor managers on employee development practices, feedback culture, and performance management.
  • Partner with the leadership to develop and foster a company culture that inspires performance and engagement.
  • Conduct market research on compensation and benefits and work with senior leadership to improve compensation and benefit programs to be competitive; Stay abreast of federal and state compliance requirement.
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of legal standards and reduce risks related to daily management of employees.
  • Onboard new employees and manage immigration documents, taxes, and benefits packages.
  • This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with HR certificate (PHR or SPHR) or an advanced degree in Human Resource Management required.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in human resource roles.
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including: compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, investigations, diversity, inclusion and equity practices, as well as federal and state employee laws.
  • Strong organization, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Passionate about nature and have a sense of urgency for acting quickly to protect our planet.
