As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal BDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up Account Executives for success. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Utilize our internal CRM system, cold call, and email to generate new sales opportunities </li><li>Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities </li><li>Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services </li><li>Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities </li><li>Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives </li><li>Represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs </li><li>Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps </li><li>Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook </li><li>Report to manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results </li></ul>Requirements: <ul><li>2-4 years of experience in SaaS sales, with a track record of exceeding lead targets </li><li>Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills </li><li>Experience as a sales development representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas </li><li>Proficiency with CRM and prospecting software, preferably HubSpot or Apollo </li><li>Highly motivated and organized individual who exhibits strong integrity, work ethics and ability to perform under pressure </li><li>Strong communication skills via phone and email </li><li>Experience selling into Corporate Sustainability, ESG, or Energy related job titles </li><li>Undergraduate degree in Climate Studies, Environmental Studies, Energy Studies, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field </li></ul>Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000 + commission. Actual base pay may vary based on various factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, level and location.
