You’ll turn concepts into fully detailed 3D models and fabrication-ready drawings for the large, multi-material structures that deliver high-energy electrical pulses in vacuum fusion experiments.<h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul style=""><li>Create and maintain 2D/3D CAD models and detailed assembly drawings in Creo</li><li>Generate and update fabrication and vendor packages: bills of materials, weld maps, machining notes</li><li>Apply GD&amp;T and manufacturing standards to ensure parts meet positional, tolerance, and loading requirements</li><li>Quickly iterate designs based on engineer feedback and lab prototype results</li><li>Collaborate with mechanical engineers, vendors, and fabricators to resolve fit, function, and manufacturability issues</li><li>Keep CAD libraries organized: part numbering, metadata, revision control in PDM/PLM systems</li><li>Participate in design reviews to verify drawing accuracy and completeness</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul style=""><li>5+ years’ hands-on CAD experience (Creo preferred)</li><li>Proven ability to model large, high-precision assemblies and complex sheet-metal or welded structures</li><li>Solid grasp of GD&amp;T, tolerance stack-ups, and Design for Manufacturability best practices</li><li>Comfortable producing detailed drawings for machining, welding, and assembly</li><li>Familiar with PDM/PLM workflows and revision-control processes</li><li>Strong communication skills to clarify design intent with engineers and suppliers</li></ul><h2>Benefits:</h2><ul style=""><li>Industry-competitive salary</li><li>Equity plan</li><li>6% employer 401k matching</li><li>Generous paid time off (including sick leave, vacation, paid family leave)</li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance </li></ul>Actual base salary offered will be determined by: experience, skills, and work location.
