This UK field-based role will involve regular travel across the Gloucester, Bristol, and Swindon areas, with overnight stays and substantial travel required. The role will also include participation in an on-call rota, covering one weekend in every eight.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Carry out maintenance, service, and repair work on SFT separation equipment at customer sites, as assigned by the office.</li><li>Ensure timely and efficient completion of all site service tasks, keeping customers informed throughout the process.</li><li>Prepare thoroughly for all site visits by ensuring all necessary parts, tools, and equipment are available and in good working condition.</li><li>Use correct working methods and ensure all special tooling is safe, clean, and operational.</li><li>Clearly communicate with customers, particularly when issues arise that may affect costs, performance, or the operational life of their equipment.</li><li>Support workshop operations by assisting with service and repair tasks when required.</li><li>Maintain clean and tidy working areas, both on-site and in the workshop, upon completion of tasks.</li><li>Ensure proper disposal of waste in line with customer and company guidelines.</li></ul>Professional Conduct &amp; Customer Service:<ul><li>Act professionally, courteously, and in a business-like manner at all times to positively represent the company and deliver exceptional customer service.</li><li>Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and promote the company and its values in every interaction.</li></ul>Reporting &amp; Administration:<ul><li>Complete all required reports accurately and promptly, in line with company procedures.</li><li>Communicate daily movements clearly to the Service Coordinator.</li><li>Report any damage to tools, equipment, or vehicles in a timely manner.</li></ul>Equipment &amp; Vehicle Responsibility:<ul><li>Take responsibility for the care and maintenance of company-supplied equipment, including the service vehicle.</li><li>Ensure all equipment and vehicles are maintained according to manufacturer and lease company guidelines.</li></ul>Additional Expectations:<ul><li>Be available for necessary overtime to meet customer timeframes.</li><li>Be available to work weekends as required to support business needs.</li><li>Attend and contribute to regular engineering team meetings.</li><li>Remain flexible and adaptable to support a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.</li></ul>Development Opportunities:<ul><li>Aspire to increase your knowledge of company products and services.</li><li>Gain hands-on experience and training to enhance your understanding of all aspects of separation equipment and processes.</li></ul>Your Profile / Qualifications<ul><li>Qualified to a minimum City &amp; Guilds standard in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).</li><li>Strong mechanical knowledge is essential; electrical knowledge is a distinct advantage.</li><li>Solid understanding of health and safety practices in the workplace.</li><li>Background in technical or process engineering.</li><li>Ability to work carefully, methodically, and safely, both independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.</li><li>Capable of working to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>A proactive and flexible team player, with the confidence and discipline to work independently both on-site and in the workshop.</li><li>Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges.</li><li>Competent in the safe operation of heavy equipment, with knowledge of basic lifting and slinging techniques.</li><li>Physically capable and experienced in meeting the demands of a hands-on, physically demanding role.</li><li>Must have the legal right to work in the UK.</li></ul>Did we spark your interest?
