Position Summary     The Cary Institute is seeking a reliable and vigilant Full-Time Security Guard for the 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM shift, Monday through Friday. The guard will be responsible for securing Institute buildings and grounds, monitoring mechanical systems, and ensuring all visitors comply with established access policies.                                                                                                                                                                     Essential Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform routine checks of all Institute buildings to ensure security.</li><li>Confirm that heating and other mechanical systems are functioning properly.</li><li>Patrol Cary Institute roadways during assigned hours.</li><li>Approach and engage visitors when necessary to enforce access policies.</li><li>Complete a detailed written security report at the end of each shift.</li></ul>                                                                                                                                                  Required Qualifications       <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Valid New York State Security Guard license.</li><li>At least one year of professional security experience.</li><li>Experience working in state/national parks or with wildlife                                                                                                                                         </li></ul>                                                                                                                                 Preferred Qualifications     Working Conditions <ul><li>This is a Full-time Non-Exempt fully benefitted position</li><li>Evening and night work required (4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday).</li><li>· Must be able to perform foot and vehicle patrols in varying weather conditions.</li></ul>
