About the team

We are a small but mighty Talent Team that is growing quickly and tasked with scaling intentionally. We are focused on ensuring we scale our people as thoughtfully as we scale our technology.  As our University & Emerging Talent Lead, you will build the future of our organization.  You will report to our Head of Talent, work with our executive team to anticipate the future needs of our workforce, and build programs to support those talent pipelines with bright, passionate, and diverse humans.  Diversity is a core component of Twelve’s foundation, and the Talent Team cares deeply about preserving and building upon this mission. 

Job Brief

We are looking for a Talent Leader with a foundation in University Recruiting who is ready to build from the ground up. In this role you will build a best-in-class Emerging Talent program spanning from interns, to all levels of University recruiting, and early career talent across all disciplines. You will drive the design and implementation of a program that hires candidates from a wide spectrum of educational backgrounds (from PhDs to trade school graduates). This is the perfect role for someone passionate about DEI and ready to challenge the status quo. 

What you will do

  • You will design and build an end-to-end Emerging Talent program 
    • Partner with executives across all functions to identify talent gaps
    • Identify universities, junior colleges, strategic programs which align to our immediate and future talent needs, such as: electrochemistry, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, technicians, and many more
    • Build and maintain relationships with professors and program leaders 
    • Develop execution strategy 
    • Integrated Diversity Plan 
  • You will build a small recruiting team to implement and scale the Emerging Talent program at Twelve
  • Build and grow our intern program to create delightful internship experiences
  • Develop a strategy for hiring hands-on technicians and a manufacturing workforce as we prepare to scale production of physical machines
  • You will set the standard at Twelve for positive candidate experience

Who you are

  • You have developed university recruiting programs, internship programs, and early-in-career programs from initial idea through to execution
  • You have 5+ years of experience as a recruiter in high-growth, fast-paced technology environments
  • You are comfortable communicating to a university professor and a university student
  • You are passionate about building diverse teams, and believe that Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) are fundamental to the company’s success
  • You believe that recruiting is a superpower and are excited to use your superpowers to build a team that is battling climate change
  • Learning is on your list of priorities. You are willing to learn new tools, technologies, and skills in order to do a job effectively 
  • You take initiative. You’re most comfortable when you’re planning a few steps ahead. 
  • Amongst friends you might be the vacation planner, birthday organizer, or the one who corrects people’s grammar :-). Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • You care about the experience you are creating for those around you and go out of your way to make sure it’s positive 
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment that gives you autonomy to do your best work
