Do the Best Work of Your Life

Engineers at NCX write software that powers the largest carbon projects by acreage in the continental US. Terabytes of geospatial data are processed into a high-precision forest inventory, underpinning our marketplace. Thousands of forest landowners with ownerships ranging from as small as 5 acres to the largest timber companies are enrolling on NC X, looking to unlock value streams that previously couldn’t be discovered or measured.

Behind the scenes, our engineering team is doing many things that won’t scale. Given recent press and landowner word-of-mouth, that scale is coming at us even sooner than expected. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for someone to join the team who can contribute across a wide variety of challenges. These include but aren’t limited to: devops, database schema, 3rd party API integrations, geospatial data visualization, and searching “how do I vertically center a div” on Stack Overflow (we use flexbox) from time to time. We’re looking for demonstrated ability and interest in learning new tools, and excitement about writing software that affects the way the world's forests are managed.

This is a remote position.

What You'll Do

• Making our Landowner Platform a simple, clear, and fast experience. DevOps, UX, and building exciting new features
• Leveraging our data to directly show corporate sustainability leaders like Microsoft the impact of their Natural Capital purchases. Check out our buyer impact dashboard for an example

Sound Like You?

• Have experience with Python and React Hooks
• Are familiar with modern cloud infrastructure and tooling
