We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</div>What you’ll do: <ul><li>Own the full life cycle of manufacturing equipment projects from specification to deployment</li><li>Create concept designs for green field manufacturing processes</li><li>Contribute to design for manufacturing and automation feedback</li><li>Document and present design trade offs to project stakeholders</li><li>Perform engineering analysis of systems and components to validate equipment designs</li><li>Design and analyze mechanisms and system kinematics</li><li>Identify, select, and size off the shelf actuators and sensors to meet project requirements</li><li>Complete system design of mechatronic and fluid power equipment, with both open and closed loop controls</li><li>Analyze the stress and deflection of machine components</li><li>Select proper materials and mechanical components</li><li>Perform tolerance stack analyses of systems</li><li>Manage procurement and assembly of all components in system design</li><li>Support equipment bring up, process development, and equipment handoff to operations</li><li>Troubleshoot equipment issues on the factory floor</li></ul>What you need:<ul><li>3+ year work experience and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronic, or a equivalent &amp; related practical experience</li><li>Experience commissioning and improving equipment </li><li>Proficiency using 2D &amp; 3D CAD to generate manufacturing layouts, assembly models, and detailed part drawings for fabrication</li><li>Demonstrated experience in engineering analysis and GD&amp;T</li><li>Excellent communicator, both in presentations and written reports</li><li>Able to maintain organization and focus in a highly dynamic environment</li><li>Proficiency with hand tools</li><li>Prefer ability to travel 10% of the time, both domestically and internationally</li></ul>Bonus Qualifications:<ul><li>Development of electric powertrain manufacturing equipment and process</li><li>Prior internships or full-time experience in Aerospace manufacturing engineering or similar role</li><li>NX software experience</li><li>Machining, welding, fabrication experience</li><li>Experience developing production lines from prototype to production</li><li>Experience with PLM, MES, and ERP software.</li><li>Direct experience programming and troubleshooting industrial automation (PLC, robots, gantries, etc…)</li></ul>Please note that this job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not include an exhaustive list of responsibilities and qualifications.At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
