You’ll be an instrumental part of a growing retail brand!  Working closely with the leadership team you’ll play a key role in supporting the retail sales strategy. As a Demand Planner you will collaborate with internal and external partners to develop annual customer and product demand plans, production forecasting, inventory flow, and forecasting models.  As an integral part of the sales and product organizations, you’ll be responsible for synchronizing both to structure production to meet market demand cycles.  You will closely collaborate with the sales, ecommerce, after sales, and operations teams to ensure alignment on strategies necessary to achieve sales objectives and capitalize on future sales opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with consumer products leadership to build product level forecasts, annual financial forecast, and long range plans
  • Develop global consumer products demand forecasts by reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, developing statistical forecast models, and evaluating results
  • Contribute to planning cycles including monthly, quarterly, annual, and long range
  • Prepare and present monthly forecast updates and interface with key stakeholders to develop accurate plans 
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and key customers to understand key drivers of future demand and incorporate into near and long term modeling
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop inventory strategies for current and future consumer products as well as replacement parts
  • Partner with global after sales team to analyze and plan demand for replacement parts, develop a best method for inventory positioning, and KPI’s to monitor ongoing inventory availability by zone 
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports, demand planning system, and ensure data accuracy across key supply chain, sales, and demand metrics
  • Develop best practices around demand planning and establish routines

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years relevant experience in demand planning of consumer products working with major retail chains and distributors.  Experience working with a consumer electronics manufacturer and with seasonal categories preferred.
  • 1+ years of merchandising experience and/or experience working with major national omnichannel retail chains, regional chains, and other unique retail outlets.  
  • A positive attitude, a sense of curiosity, loves being part of a team, invested in an inclusive culture, is curious and possesses a strong bias for action
  • Flexible, resilient, and comfortable working at a fast pace with some ambiguity
  • Strong strategic, financial, analytical skills.  Highly comfortable with data, large data sets, and ability to synthesize data from an array of sources.
  • Experience developing processes, modeling approach, and evaluating best practices to implement is a positive
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effortlessly as the face of the company with key accounts electronically and in person. High level of comfort to formally present and sell with sales tools both internal and external.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver upon multi-year strategic sales plans 
  • Highly proficient with technology and various software tools including knowledge of Google GSuite, Salesforce, NetSuite, and experience leveraging other reporting tools
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
