Reporting to the VP of Operations with a dotted line to the Global Controller, this role combines operational accounting, financial oversight, and business administration with responsibilities in HR, sales logistics, and cross-functional coordination. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely financial statements, maintain robust internal controls, and support the company’s agribusiness operations in Mexico and across Latin America, with a focus on commercialization efforts and global compliance. This position requires a strategic, detail-oriented individual with a proven track record in finance, accounting, and multi-disciplinary business operations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Financial Management &amp; Accounting:  <ul><li>Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including statutory and US GAAP accounting, to support international operations, transactional currency, and month-end closing per the parent company’s calendar.  </li></ul><ul><li>Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, footnotes, and disclosures for all balance sheet accounts monthly.  </li></ul><ul><li>Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), invoice drafting, and audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and global finance reporting standards.  </li></ul><ul><li>Assess complex business transactions requiring technical expertise and judgment, including revenue recognition for product launches in Mexican and Latin American markets.  </li></ul><ul><li>Support Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance (for private or public company status), tax processes, and statutory audits, maintaining relationships with external auditors and advisors in Mexico.  </li></ul><ul><li>Implement and improve financial systems (e.g., D365 ERP, AP automation, inventory modules) to enhance efficiency and compliance with Mexican and international regulations. </li></ul>Business Administration &amp; Operational Leadership:  <ul><li>Develop and implement policies, process narratives, and best practices to strengthen the financial and operational infrastructure in Mexico.  </li></ul><ul><li>Support the company’s growth and preparedness for commercialization in Mexican and Latin American markets, ensuring scalability and compliance with regulatory requirements.  </li></ul><ul><li>Drive cross-functional collaboration, fostering open communication and mutual understanding across regional and global teams. </li></ul>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  <ul><li>None currently, though leadership over cross-functional tasks and coordination with regional and global teams is required. </li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:  <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.  </li></ul><ul><li>5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and business operations, with at least 3 years in roles involving sales support, logistics, HR, or administration (agribusiness or life sciences preferred).  </li></ul><ul><li>CPA certification with Big 4 or large regional firm experience is highly desirable.  </li></ul><ul><li>Strong technical accounting background (US GAAP) and familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (Section 404) compliance.  </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, or Oracle) and CRM tools;
